Prayer to Saint Paul for Patience
Feast, January 25
Glorious Saint Paul, from a persecutor of Christianity, you became a very ardent and zealous apostle,
and suffered imprisonment, scourging, stoning, shipwreck and endured persecutions of every kind, in order to make the Savior Jesus Christ known to the farthest bounds of the world. In the end you shed your blood to the last drop.
Obtain for us the grace to face our sickness, afflictions, misfortunes, and seeming failures of life as opportunities to grow in patience and perseverance.
Above all, and in all things make us ever more faithful and more fervent.
Amen.
Pray for us, Saint Paul the Apostle,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Dominic Savio for Parents and Children
Feast, March 9
Dear Saint Dominic, you spent your short life totally for love of Jesus and his Mother.
Help the youth of today to realize the importance of God in their lives.
You became a saint through fervent participation in the sacraments.
Enlighten parents and children on the importance of frequent Confession and Holy Communion. At a young age you meditated on the sorrowful Passion of our Lord.
Obtain for us the grace of a fervent desire to suffer for love of him.
We desperately need your intercession to protect today’s children from the snares of the world.
Watch over them and lead them on the narrow road to heaven.
Ask God to give us the grace to sanctify our daily duties by performing them perfectly out of love for him. Remind us of the necessity of practicing virtue specially in times of trial.
Saint Dominic Savio, you who preserved your Baptismal innocence of heart, pray for us.
Prayer to Saint Joseph
Patron of Good Husbands and Workers Feast, March 19, May 1
Oh, Saint Joseph, whose protection is so strong, so great, so prompt before the throne of God.
I place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh, Saint Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain from your Divine Son for me all spiritual blessings through Christ our Lord, so that, having engaged here below your heavenly power,
I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.
Oh, Saint Joseph, I am never weary?
of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms.
I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart.
Press him in my name, and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.
Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for me.
Whoever shall read this prayer or hear it or keep it about themselves, shall never die a sudden death, or be drowned nor shall poison take effect on them. Neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy nor shall be burned in any fire or shall be overpowered in battle.
Say for nine mornings for anything you may desire. It has never been known to fail.
This prayer was found in the 50th year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1505 it was sent from the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going to battle.
Prayer to Blessed Pedro Calungsod
Patron of Catechists Feast, April 2
Blessed Pedro Calungsod, young migrant, student, catechist, missionary, faithful friend, martyr, you inspire us by your fidelity in times of adversity, by your courage in teaching the faith in the midst of hostility, and by your love in shedding your blood for the sake of the Gospel.
Make our troubles your own (Here mention your request) and intercede for us before the throne of mercy and grace so that as we experience the help of heaven we may be encouraged to proclaim and live the Gospel here on earth.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Vincent Ferrer
Unconditional Love
Feast April 5
O God, Saint Vincent was a great preacher who converted thousands in several countries.
He often said, “If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, you should approach God with all your heart.
Ask him simply to fill you with charity, the greatest of all virtues; with it you can accomplish what you desire.”
So with the help of his prayers,
I ask you, O God, to teach me how to evangelize through loving others as you love them.
Instill in me a heart that is full of compassion for everyone.
Remind me of whom I do not love and guide me into giving them holy, unconditional love.
Saint Vincent Ferrer, pray for us.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Expeditus
Act of Contrition
My Lord Jesus Christ,
Father of endless charity,
I am heartily sorry for all my sins.
Grant me, therefore, pardon of my sins and the grace I ask of you through the merits of the sorrows of your loving Mother and the virtues of your martyr,
Saint Expeditus.
Prayer to Saint Expeditus for Every Day
Saint Expeditus, my protector, in you I place my hope that my petitions may be granted if they are for my own good.
Please ask our Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, for the forgiveness of my sins, and the grace to change my life,
particularly the grace (Mention here the particular grace desired).
I promise to follow your examples and will propagate this devotion to you.
Saint Expeditus,

Prayer to Saint Peregrine for Sick Relatives and Friends
Feast, May 1
O great Saint Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder Worker” because of the numerous miracles
which you obtained from God for those who have turned to you in their need. For so many years, you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease
that destroys the very fiber of our being.
You turned to God when the power of human beings could do no more,
and you were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from his cross
to heal your affliction. I now ask God to heal these sick persons whom I entrust to you:
(Here mention their names.)
Aided by your powerful intercession,
I shall sing with Mary a hymn of gratitude to God for his great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Peregrine for One Suffering from Cancer
Dear Saint Peregrine, I need your help.
I feel so uncertain of my life right now.
This serious illness makes me long for a sign of God’s love.
Help me to imitate your enduring faith
when you faced the ugliness of cancer and surgery.
Allow me to trust the Lord the way you did in this moment of distress.
I want to be cured, but right now I ask God
for the strength to bear the cross in my life.
I seek the power to proclaim
God’s presence in my life
despite the hardship, anguish, and fear
I now experience.
O glorious Saint Peregrine,
be an inspiration to me and petitioner
of those needed graces
from our loving Father.
Amen.
Cancer is limited…
A cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the spirit,
It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.
Prayer to Saint Isidore
Patron of Farmers and Gardeners Feast, May 15
Dear Isidore,
You know how normal it is to cultivate the land for you were employed as a farm laborer for the greater part of your life.

Encourage all farmers and gardeners in their labors and help them to feed numerous people.
Amen.

Saint Anthony, glorious for your miracles and for the condescension of Jesus in coming as a little child to repose in your arms, obtain for me from his bounty
the grace which I ardently desire.
You who were so compassionate towards sinners, regard not my unworthiness, but the glory of God, it even until death that it may be magnified by you in connection with the particular request which I now earnestly present to you (Name it).
As a pledge of my gratitude, I beg you to accept my promise
to live more faithfully in accordance with the teachings of the Church, and to be devoted to the service of the poor whom you ever loved and still love so greatly.

To Find a Lost Article
Saint Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power
of restoring lost things, grant that I may find (Name lost thing/s)
which has been lost, if such be the will of God; or at least restore to me peace
and tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than material loss.
To this favor I beg you to add another: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. May I rather lose all things than to lose God, my supreme Good, or suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, my immortal soul.
Amen.

Jesus Christ, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever.

Prayer of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Feast, September 5
Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go.
Flood my soul with your spirit and love.
Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of yours.
Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with
may feel your presence in my soul.
Let them look up and see no longer me but only you, O Lord.
Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine,
and that I may bring light to others.
Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people
throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger.
Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread,
and by our understanding love, give them peace and joy.
Give us a heart as beautiful, pure, and spotless as yours.
A heart like yours, so full of love and humility.
May we be able to receive Jesus as the Bread of Life, to love him as you loved him,
to serve him under the mistreated face of the poor.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina
Patron of the Unborn
Beloved Padre Pio, Saint of Pietrelcina,
today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you every day by those who love and venerate you.
They ask for cures and healings,
earthly and spiritual blessings,
and peace for body and mind.
Because of your friendship with the Lord,
he heals those whom you ask to be healed,
and forgives those whom you forgive. Through your visible wounds of the cross,
which you bore for 50 years,
you were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus.
Because the cross has been replaced
by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge that it is the only true sign of salvation.
As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet, and side,
we not only remember the blood you shed in pain, but your smile, and the invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your presence, on way the perfume of sanctity.
Padre Pio, the healings of the sick are the testimony that the Lord has invited you to join the holy company of saints.
In your kindness, please help me with my own special request
(Mention here your petition, and make the sign of the cross).
Bless me and my loved ones.
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,

to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
tis in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
